Our good friend Gillian G. Gaar who wrote books such as Nirvana's In Utero, Nirvana Treasures and Entertain Us: The Rise of Nirvana is trying to raise money for eye care and surgery. If you can help, please go to this link to donate.
Gillian has been an integral part of the Nirvana community for many years, writing numerous articles about the band, a handful of books and she was also involved in the 2004 box set "With The Lights Out".

|NFC News New book: EXPERIENCING NIRVANA: Grunge in Europe, 1989|
Sub Pop cofounder Bruce Pavitt has penned a book that covers "a tumultuous one-week period on tour from Rome to London with Nirvana, TAD, and Mudhoney.":
This intimate photo journal and wild grunge rock micro-history was shot and written by Bruce Pavitt, co-founder of Sub Pop Recs., the legendary Seattle label that signed Nirvana in 1988. The book features over 200 picturesque and candid full-color photos shot by Pavitt.
The book, EXPERIENCING NIRVANA: Grunge in Europe, 1989 is set to be published in October. Read more here

|NFC News New Chad Channing interview|
Journalist Greg Prato, author of "Grunge is Dead: The Oral History of Seattle" did an interview with former Nirvana drummer Chad Channing recently. Chad's current band Before Cars are just getting ready to release their second album. In the interview, the musician talks about Before Cars, his days in Nirvana, and shares new insight into Kurt Cobain's songwriting process. Check out the interview here, courtesy of Songfacts.
