"Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!" is the only official Nirvana-video that has been released, although the band also appears on other home videos such as Sonic Youths "1991: The Year Punk Broke." The title "Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!" is a joke about Nirvana's enormous popularity at the time "Nevermind" was going number one on sales charts all over the world, and the video, for understandable reasons that can be read about below, mostly focuses on this time of the band's existence.
There have been rumors about a segment for "Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!" to be released for years already. "Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!" only includes footage from the "Nevermind" tours, but nothing from the "In Utero" period. Those who hope for a segment featuring newer material seem to believe that the fact that there is no "In Utero" stuff on the video to be a strategy move from Geffen.
In fact, it is not. "Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!" was Kurt Cobain's work. He started working on it in 1993, until the start of the "In Utero"-tour. For reasons unknown, it was never finished before he killed himself in April 1994. The video was found in Kurt's possession after his death.
Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl finished the video after Kurt's death. With director Kevin Kerslake they did little but adding a final touché to it. The remaining members of the band stated that they wanted to keep it as true to the original work of Kurt as possible. The video was released by Geffen Records (Geffen - GEV 39541) in 1994.

"Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!" features every song from "Nevermind" except for "In Bloom" and "Stay Away." The album version of "Lounge Act" is played during the end credits. There are a lot of fabulous performances featured, including the hilarious version of "Come As You Are" from Paradisio Club, Amsterdam, Holland.
"Endless, Nameless" is not featured on the track listing on the back of the video cover. The performance on the video is from Paramount Theatre, Seattle, Washington, with instrument-smashing from other shows mixed into it. In-between the songs there is backstage footage and various footage of the band goofing-around. The video features shots from Portland Meadows, Portland, Oregon, a show which is not available elsewhere.
